A nourishing journey through mindfulness, yoga, conscious cooking, and the living herbal traditions of the Far East — held in the quiet cultural landscape of Chiang Mai.
For twelve days, step out of the noise — and into a slower, wiser rhythm. Wake to mountain light. Move your body in open air. Cook with villagers. Walk among healing plants. Come home a little closer to yourself.
Kinnsoul CNX is a complete wellness immersion — not a luxury vacation dressed as a retreat. Twelve days of intentional living in Chiang Mai, rooted in Thai Buddhist mindfulness, Lanna culinary wisdom, and the herbal traditions that have healed this region for centuries. Whether this is your first retreat or your twentieth, you will be met where you are.
The days are designed — not packed. Each pillar is a living practice you'll return to throughout the twelve days, moving from curiosity to understanding to something you carry home.
Daily yoga with experienced local instructors. Guided meditation drawn from Thai Buddhist traditions. Forest breathwork for mental clarity and grounding.
Hands-on sessions in Northern Thai and broader Far East cuisine. Fermented dishes, herbal soups, medicinal teas, plant-based Lanna recipes — flavor as medicine.
Guided walks to discover indigenous herbs. Turmeric, galangal, gotu kola, pandan, ginger flower — and the tonics, teas and tinctures built from them.
Village visits. Cooking beside community elders. Stories behind the ingredients, the rituals, the seasons. Meaningful contact, not tourism.
Forest bathing. Herbal foraging. Quiet mornings beside the water. The Northern Thai landscape is not scenery — it is the teacher.
Unhurried days. Long afternoons. Deep sleep. Space to do nothing. Restoration is not the reward at the end — it is the practice itself.
Three movements — Arrival, Deepening, Integration. Each day has its own texture, the rhythm unhurried and cumulative.
Arrive in Chiang Mai. Transfer to the retreat setting. A welcome herbal tea ceremony, a quiet orientation, and an early dinner of Lanna home cooking. No pressure, no program — just rest.
Your first morning yoga at sunrise. Guided forest breathwork. An intention-setting circle. Afternoon: a gentle walking tour of the surrounding land and the herbs growing on it.
A holistic nutrition workshop. How Far East cuisines balance flavor, function and season. Hands-on cooking: your first Northern Thai herbal soup. Evening meditation.
Morning farm visit with a community herbalist. Learn turmeric, galangal, lemongrass, pandan, gotu kola — not from a book, but from the earth they grew in. Herbal tea blending in the afternoon.
A full day with a village community. Cook a traditional Lanna meal with the women of the household. Hear the stories — what grows when, why this spice, whose grandmother taught this dish.
A gentle day of noble silence for those who choose it. Morning yoga in silence, a simple nourishing meal, afternoon rest. A Thai Buddhist monk leads an evening dhamma talk and meditation.
An extended morning yoga and pranayama session. Workshop on anti-inflammatory spices and functional eating. A sound healing session as the light fades.
A guided forest-bathing experience in an old-growth area. Wild swimming or a waterfall visit (weather dependent). Evening: a storytelling circle under the stars.
A hands-on herbal remedy workshop. Make the teas, tonics and balms you'll take home. Afternoon: a fermentation masterclass — kimchi, kombucha, miso roots.
A flexible day. Choose a Thai massage, a one-to-one with a teacher, a quiet temple visit, or simply rest. The program holds space — you choose the shape.
An integration workshop: the morning routine, the kitchen practices, the micro-habits. Build the simple daily rhythm you'll keep when you leave. A closing Lanna feast in the evening.
A final sunrise practice. A closing circle and blessing. A slow breakfast. Airport transfers for onward journeys — with a small apothecary of your own making, tucked in your bag.
You don't need to have done a retreat before. You don't need to be flexible, vegetarian, or already meditating every morning. You only need to be ready to slow down enough to notice.
You've been wellness-curious for a while — saving yoga reels, drinking better tea, wondering what a real reset feels like. Kinnsoul CNX is a gentle, fully-held first retreat. You will never feel behind, and you will never be pushed past where you want to go.
You already have a practice. You're looking for depth, lineage, and the specific wisdom of a place. Our teachers are rooted in Thai Buddhist and Lanna traditions, and the herbal work draws directly from Far East materia medica. There is real substance here to learn from.
You've been running on fumes for too long. You don't need a spa weekend — you need twelve full days where nothing is demanded of you except to show up. This retreat is structured enough to carry you, and soft enough to let you land. Come home a different person.
Kinnsoul CNX is a full-inclusion experience. Your only decisions from arrival to departure are the ones that serve your wellbeing.

For over seven hundred years, the North of Thailand has been a quiet place of temples, forests, farmers, healers, and slow-cooked food. It holds something most places have forgotten how to hold: time. Unhurried time.
Kinnsoul CNX is set outside the city, in a landscape of working farmland, forest and mountain — close enough to feel the culture, far enough to hear the cicadas at dusk. The venue itself is intimate, natural, and designed for rest.
You will eat food grown within a few kilometers of where you sleep. You will meet the people who grow it. You will walk paths that have been walked for generations. This is not manufactured wellness. It is a place doing what it has always done, with you invited in.
Every practitioner on this retreat is rooted in the traditions they teach. No touring gurus, no wellness influencers. Just quiet, experienced teachers from the region itself.

[A powerful testimonial quote from a past guest will go here. Keep it emotional, specific, and under three lines. Ideally it speaks to transformation, not just the view.]
If your question isn't here, write to us. A real person responds, usually within a day.
Yes — genuinely. Around half of every Kinnsoul CNX cohort is first-time retreat-goers. The program is structured to be clear without being rigid. You will always know what's next, nothing is compulsory, and the teachers are experienced at meeting guests where they are. You'll arrive a stranger and leave with a small circle of people you genuinely know.
The yoga and meditation on this retreat are taught for real human bodies and real untrained minds. No handstands. No lotus pose required. Our teachers modify for every level every single day. If you can breathe, you can practice here.
The retreat menu is plant-forward and predominantly plant-based, but not exclusively vegetarian. We accommodate vegan, gluten-free, nut allergies, and most dietary restrictions with advance notice. Please flag any requirements at booking.
You'll fly into Chiang Mai International Airport (CNX). We arrange private airport transfers for you on arrival and departure days — these are included. We don't book flights directly, but we'll send a clear arrival window and can recommend routing if helpful.
[CANCELLATION POLICY PLACEHOLDER — e.g., "Full refund minus deposit up to 60 days before arrival. 50% refund between 60 and 30 days. No refund within 30 days, but your place can be transferred to another guest or to a future cohort."] We also recommend travel insurance for every guest.
No. Kinnsoul CNX is a spoken, warm, community-oriented retreat. We do offer one optional day of noble silence around the midpoint for guests who want to experience it, but talking, laughing, and connecting with other guests is part of the experience.
Absolutely. Many guests come with a partner or friend. Double/twin rooms are available. You'll share the program together but also have space for individual practice and reflection.
Cohorts are intentionally small 12 guests maximum. Small enough to be truly held by the teachers; large enough to form a real community over twelve days.
Cohorts fill quietly, usually months in advance. Reserve your space with a deposit today — the rest of the details will flow to you over email, and we'll be there at CNX to welcome you in.
